Center for Child Protection, Rajasthan — Website and Helpdesk System Development
Center for Child Protection, Rajasthan — Website and Helpdesk System Development
The Challenge
The Center for Child Protection in Rajasthan was established as a critical initiative to address the protection needs of children across the state. With child protection being one of the most sensitive and complex areas of social welfare, the Center needed a robust digital presence and operational infrastructure to fulfill its mission. The challenges were multi-faceted:
- Lack of Digital Presence: The Center had no dedicated website or online platform to disseminate information about child protection services, resources, policies, and programmes to the public, government officials, NGOs, and other stakeholders across Rajasthan.
- No Centralized Helpdesk System: There was no systematic mechanism for receiving, tracking, and resolving child protection-related complaints, queries, and cases. Information flow was fragmented and manual, leading to delayed responses and lack of accountability.
- Content Management Needs: The Center needed to regularly publish and update a wide range of content — legal frameworks, policy documents, case studies, resources, training materials, event notifications, and press releases — requiring an intuitive content management system.
- Search Engine Visibility: Given the critical nature of child protection services, the website needed to be highly discoverable through search engines so that children, families, and service providers could easily find and access available resources and support.
- Multi-Stakeholder Access: Different stakeholders (government officials, NGO workers, police, judiciary, general public) had different information needs and access levels that needed to be accommodated through thoughtful information architecture.
- Security and Sensitivity: Given the sensitive nature of child protection data, the system needed robust security measures to protect case information and personal data.
