Twitter, being one of the advanced and popular social media sites introduced “Twitter Cards” in April’ 2013. The introduction of these cards allows eCommerce business owners to promote their products by linking rich media texts in it.

The practical use of Twitter Card allows store owners to insert product images, price, descriptions and videos to their tweets. These product cards allows visitors to buy products directly on Twitter, thereby increasing conversion sale and user engagement.

Once enabled on your website, Twitter cards display additional information to shoppers whenever they tweet your product pages. The standard Tweets are limited to 140 characters however Twitter cards maximizes it by showing a snippet of your product page that has “product price” and “product quantity” linked in it.

By adding simply few lines of HTML in your web pages, users tweeting to your content will have a card added to the “Tweet” that’s visible to all of their followers.
