Velocity gives women Employees a treat on International Women’s Day

Women of 21st century have proved their mettle and worth in every walk of life be it education, competitive exams, space, sports, music or business field. The contribution of these dynamic women have always been an inspiration to numerous people as they have broken the age old traditions, customs and dominance in a patriarchal society to emerge as victorious in every other field. Business women like Indira Nooyi, Kiran Mazumdar Shah, Chanda Kocchar, Marissa Mayer, Christine Lagarde and such others are truly defined as “women of substance”. This is because they have been successfully serving in the top eminent positions in various global companies like Pepsico, Biocon, ICICI bank, Yahoo, IMF and other such prestigious institutions.

The IT industry is also brimming with the women professionals who have carved out their niche place in their respective companies and roles. Velocity, one of the promising name in the web development services has always been a vocal supporter of “women power”. In order to keep its promises, the company has tried to rope in more women who are ready to share their wisdom, skills and expertise in the growth of our organization. It was time to repay our gratitude towards all these contributing women power in our company on this International Women’s Day which is celebrated every year on 8th March. We tried to make this day special for these defining women and thought about providing them an outdoor lunch treat so that they can enjoy a healthy dose of entertainment between work hours.

Our women employees decided to enjoy their lunch and satisfy their taste buds at the nearby Barbeque Nation restaurant which is located in Sector- 63, Noida. These “ladies of the moment” selected this restaurant as the place was all set up for this special occasion only. Apart from our company, various other companies had brought their women employees at this special Women’s Day themed restaurant. The place was brimming with all dynamic and leading ladies in their respective fields and our women employees were provided with a seclusive large table which had attached grills with them to serve the “super hot” meal. They were first served with diverse variety of starters consisting of various delicacies. After winding it up, they were provided with the main course menu which comprised of cuisines ranging from Chinese to Indian, Continental and other such savories. In the end, they were served with 12 varieties of desserts that comprised of pastries, chocolates, ice cream, Indian sweets like “Moong ka halwa”, “Gajar ka halwa” and much more.

Finally, our female employees had their stomach full and they decided to click some amazing photographs of the whole event. They posed for the shutterbugs at various locations of the restaurant and had a blast together. This is how Velocity tried to bring a little joy and happiness on the face of its women employees on this special day.
